The outcome is approaching in this 2025 edition of the US Open Grand Slam, as we await the name of the player who will succeed Jannik Sinner as tournament champion. Before that, the quarterfinals will take place at the start of the week, including a duel between Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime and Australia's Alex De Minaur.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is the surprise qualifier for these quarterfinals, as he had not managed to reach this stage in a Grand Slam since the 2022 Australian Open, where he was stopped in a five-set match by Daniil Medvedev. Qualifying for the fourth quarterfinal of his career in a tournament of this level, it was in New York City that the Canadian reached his only semifinal in 2021. He will certainly be looking to do as well or better this season after his recent surprise victories in the previous rounds.

Alex De Minaur will have his say in this matchup as he plays his second consecutive quarterfinal at the US Open.
