Two sides in urgent need of a victory meet at TQL Stadium on Wednesday night, as Cincinnati host DC United in a vital MLS Eastern Conference matchup.
Cincy are currently occupying the final Conference wild card spot, but with just three points separating the six sides in contention for the final two postseason spots, victory over United is essential if Pat Noonan's side want to stay ahead of the chasing pack.
DC are three points back from Cincinnati, but a three goal victory on Wednesday would see them leapfrog their rivals and move into the playoff places.
Both sides come into the midweek contest on the back of poor weekend results. DC were thrashed 4-1 by Orlando City, whilst Cincy suffered a limp 0-2 home defeat to the Columbus Crew. With just five games remaining in the regular season, another defeat on Wednesday would be catastrophic for either side's postseason hopes.
