Fresh off a dominant win in the first round, Emma Raducanu of Great Britain will go head-to-head with Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia for a spot in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 HSBC Championship at the Queens Club on Thursday.
Raducanu is off to a promising start on grass, blasting Cristina Bucsa 6-1 6-2 in the first round of this WTA 250 event. Raducanu, who carried a 14-11 record in grass-court matches, amassed a 7-3 record on grass last year after reaching the semifinal of the Rothesay Open, the quarterfinal of the Rothesay International, and the fourth round of the 2024 Wimbledon Open.
Sramkova also advanced to the next round by upsetting the reigning Wimbledon Open champion Barbora Krejcikova 6-4 6-3 in the first round.
