The Edmonton Oilers will face the Vancouver Canucks in an all-Canadian matchup on Sunday night at Rogers Arena, marking their second clash of the season.
A couple of weeks ago, the two teams met up in Edmonton, where the home team bagged a 3-1 victory. The Oilers were dominant on home ice, outshooting the Canucks 37-15. However, a solid performance from goaltender Thatcher Demko kept the game close for Vancouver. It was only a late empty-netter by Leon Draisaitl that helped Edmonton to win by more than one goal.
The Oilers have blown hot and cold early in the season, but they are always a scoring threat with Draisaitl and Connor McDavid up front. The two entered the weekend with a combined 18 points through eight games.
The Canucks offense has been led by Conor Garland early in the season, as many of the team's key players have not been performing at their best. Vancouver has struggled to score goals, which will make it difficult for them to keep up with the Oilers, who can score in bunches.
Adam Foote's team will likely have to rely on Demko again on Sunday. While the team has struggled, he's done well this campaign, going 3-2-0. The American netminder has allowed only 2.24 goals while registering a .927 save percentage.

Our Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers Prediction
The Oilers currently look like a much better team, as the Canucks are struggling for consistency. The team has suffered several injuries and hasn't been much of an attacking threat this season. Against Connor McDavid and his crew, you generally need to produce offense to have a chance.
Edmonton has a good record in this matchup, and all of the team's four most recent wins over Vancouver have come in regulation time. This season, Kris Knoblauch's troops have also mostly finished their business with 60 minutes of action.
Our prediction for Vancouver Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers: Oilers to win in regulation.
