Ecuador and Argentina will look to book their place in the knockout stage of the 2025 Copa America Femenina when they clash on Thursday night. This result means the 2006 champions have bagged maximum points in this competition. Still, they must get a point against Ecuador to secure their top finish in Group A.
Hosts, Ecuador, on the other hand, are staring at a possible early exit from this tournament. They suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chile on Monday night after throwing away the lead to concede twice in the first half. This result leaves them third in the standings with four points, two points behind the second-placed Chile. They can still qualify for the next round if Chile fails to win against Uruguay on Thursday. But first, they must defeat the red-hot Argentina.
