On Tuesday, DR Congo and Jamaica meet in Zapopan, Mexico, where they’ll battle for a spot in the 2026 World Cup. The market has Congo as favorites, though I think the Africans should be stronger favorites than they are.
DR Congo had a fairly tough group during the main qualification stage, and yet, they still came out with seven wins out of ten - the same as the leaders of their group, Senegal, who they tied against. Congo had a bye into this final, whilst Jamaica had to endure the important semi-final with a couple of days less to prepare for this massive game.
Based on their African qualifying, the men from DR Congo have a one-game shoot-out against an equivalent team from CONCACAF, Jamaica. The Caribbean side played less games in the group stage, still only winning half of their six matches, plus only just winning their semi-final game against a very small nation, New Caledonia, by one goal to zero.

Our DR Congo vs Jamaica Prediction
The Jamaicans haven’t been conceding lots recently, nor have they lost any of their last six games, but they have been coming up against lesser opponents. This is their hardest game for some time. When The Reggae Boyz have had more difficult opponents, they haven’t found it as easy, for example, losing 2-0 against Curacao and 4-1 against Panama.
In contrast, DR Congo has some really positive form against much more challenging teams than Jamaica, and when they recently played Nigeria, they performed much better than the Jamaicans did against the same opponent. Plus, they have some decent players from top leagues, such as Bongonda, Bakambu, Wissa and Masuaku, whilst Jamaica does not really possess as many high-profile players.
