Starting with a 2-2 record for the Mariners after playing four games at T-Mobile Park against the Athletics doesn't look encouraging, especially since the betting teams started as favorites in each of their four games and because the Mariners' significant run-scoring problems are once again evident.

After scoring four runs on Opening Day, they failed to score more than two runs in Games 2, 3, and 4. In fact, they didn't lose the series thanks to a solid performance from Woo and a home run by Julio Rodríguez with one on base, which was one of the Mariners' five hits of the afternoon. On Monday, they stay in Seattle to host the Tigers, the team that snatched the Mariners' chance to clinch the 2024 Wild Card last week.

The Tigers will be delighted to finally leave Dodger Stadium and no longer play against a team that seems invincible. The Tigers' lineup this year remains very similar to the one it was in 2024, and their 0-3 record to start the season doesn't reflect a strong offensive start to the year, where they made trouble for the Dodgers' Japanese aces Yamamoto and Sasaki.
