The Pirates will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard today when they host the Detroit Tigers at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Fans can follow the action once the game gets underway at 6:40 p.m. EST.

Pittsburgh got a nine-game homestand underway over the weekend with a series vs. the White Sox and got swept, losing by a combined score of 27-7. They will ask their ace, Paul Skenes, to lead the way on the mound today. Skenes is 4-8 in 20 starts with a 2.01 ERA, .93 WHIP, and .189 OBA. He’s gone 1-4 in eight starts at home with a 2.31 ERA and a .189 OBA. However, it will not be easy to get the win against Detroit. The Tigers will start Jack Flaherty on the mound. Flaherty is 5-9 in 19 starts this season with a 4.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and .226 OBA. While a solid pitcher at home (3.71 ERA), he has had some issues on the road. He has gone  2-4 in eight road starts with a 6.08 ERA and a .271 OBA. In 79 at-bats vs. Flaherty, the Pirates lineup has gone .304 with five home runs (all-time).
