The Cleveland Guardians face a crucial series against the Detroit Tigers this weekend, as they look to reignite their faltering playoff push.
With just four weeks remaining in the regular season, Cleveland are three games back from the White Sox in the AL Central standings, so will need an extremely strong end to the campaign to land their first divisional title since 2020.
The series starts with a Friday double header, and after an early afternoon opening contest, left handers Foster Griffin (Guardians) and Andrew Sears (Tigers) will take to the mound for a late night second game.
Griffin has been in solid form since his trade deadline move from the Nationals, conceding under three runs in four of his first five starts for the Guardians.
Sears will be making just his third appearance for the Tigers and will be looking to improve on a disappointing 6.75 ERA since being called up for his debut last month.
