The Detroit Tigers will go for an equalizer in Game 2 of their American League Division Series with the Cleveland Guardians on Monday at Progressive Field. After conceding five runs in the first inning of a 0-7 loss to the Guardians in Game 1, Detroit will lean back on the most reliable pitcher on their rotation all season long – Tarik Skubal. Skubal has led the Tigers to victory in his last three starts. This includes a 3-1 win over Houston where Skubal pitched scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Cleveland played stellar game in the batters’ box and from the mound. They made the Tigers regret their decision to start Tyler Holton, a relief pitcher who was designated as a starter for Game 1, as they piled up five runs in the first inning.
