The slept walked through game one with the Giants in their last series and lost 10-0 before dropping game two 5-3 but stepped up and flipped that score in game 3. Tonight, the Orioles have ace Corbin Burnes (14-8, 3.06) on the hill. Burnes is coming off 7 shutout innings where he allowed just 2 hits and struck out 7 against these Tigers to grab his 14th win of the season. The Tigers will have Keider Montero (6-6, 4.60), who also pitched a shutout through his 5 innings of work in his last start which came against these Orioles. It will be interesting to see which of these 2 starters will be able to stay in their groove and keep their opposing lineups uncomfortable.

While both starters can shut down the opposing lineup but we are leaning towards the team that has been playing at a much higher rate. Baltimore was fighting for the AL East division most of the season but now find themselves 4 games behind the Yankees and in the wildcard spot. The pressure to keep up with New York has seemingly gotten to this Baltimore group and the Tigers have just continued to play solid baseball. We like the road dog in this one.
