The Wizards had started off playing well and actually had a 10-point lead in the second quarter, but a very bad second quarter where they could only score 11 points doomed their game that would end 117-129 in favor of the Hawks.
That same Friday, the Pistons beat the Raptors to remain undefeated in the NBA Cup. They won despite being rather inaccurate on 3-point shots, making just 8 of 38. The Pistons will be favorites to hand the Wizards their eighth consecutive loss by 5.5 points.
