Detroit Pistons vs LA Clippers Prediction & Picks - NBA

The Detroit Pistons (24-7) visit the Los Angeles Clippers (9-21) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Sunday, December 28, at the Intuit Dome.

The Clippers put their three-game win streak on the line at home when they host the Pistons on Sunday. Recently, they rolled past the Portland Trail Blazers, 119-103, flipping the game to their favor after trailing at halftime.

James Harden, who is averaging 26.3 points per game, powered Los Angeles with 34 points in that win. Brook Lopez caught fire from deep, drilling nine threes and scoring 31.

Harden and the rest of the Clippers have been impressive lately, having also defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets during their current undefeated stretch. 

As for the Pistons, they’re coming off an upset 131-129 loss to the Utah Jazz. Cade Cunningham tallied a double-double performance of 29 points and 17 assists. 

Still, the Pistons have the best record in the Eastern Conference, and they've won seven of their last nine games.  Moreover, this Detroit team's defense has been solid, ranking 2nd in the league in defensive rating (111.3). 

On the injury front, the Clippers won't have Bradley Beal, Ivica Zubac, and Bogdan Bogdanovic on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Pistons don't have a name listed on their injury report.
