The Houston Rockets face the Detroit Pistons for an NBA 2K26 Summer League game on July 13, Sunday, at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Rockets and the Pistons will both play their second game of the Summer League tomorrow. With Ron Holland II leading the way with 28 points, the Pistons carved a 104-86 victory over the New York Knicks. Four other Pistons scored in double digits in the win.
However, the Rockets weren't as fortunate. The Rockets lost, 95-92, to the Los Angeles Clippers in their first game. Sophomore guard Reed Sheppard showcased his skills with 28 points, while Kennedy Chandler came off the bench to produce 22 markers.
Sheppard, the third overall pick of last year's draft, makes this Rockets roster an intriguing one. They have six other players with NBA experience, including big man Moses Brown and swingman Kevon Harris.
On the other hand, the Pistons have five sophomores in their lineup. Holland had a key role in the Pistons' playoff appearance last year, logging 15.6 minutes and averaging 6.4 points and 2.7 rebounds.
Holland did shoot only 23.8% from the three-point in his rookie year, but he made four of his five three-point attempts in the win against the Knicks.
