The Seattle Seahawks look for a big start to their season as they host the Denver Broncos on Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. After failing to catch the final bus to the postseason last year, the Seahawks are more determined to improve their standing this season. Settle will have a double-edged offense this year with so many weapons from top to bottom. Geno Smith has established himself as a legit starting quarterback after two terrific seasons as the Seahawks’ signal-caller. The good thing about Seattle is they don’t rely heavily on Smith to produce because they have running back Kenneth Walker III to deal some damage on the ground. Walker rushed for 905 yards on 219 carries with 8 touchdowns last season. The Broncos will have a rookie quarterback starting on Sunday. Selected 12th overall out of Auburn in the 2024 NFL Draft, Bo Nix will get the first real taste of NFL action this week. Thankfully, he has Sean Peyton calling the shots from the sideline and the Broncos head coach will put him in a position to flourish even in his first game.

I think Geno Smith is bound for a big season-opening game. Flanked with three solid wide receivers, Smith will showcase his underrated passing skills that caught many teams off guard the past two seasons. The Broncos’ secondary line of defense is vulnerable and that’s where the Seahawks will try to attack. Bo Nix is expected to go through a rough first quarter but will eventually settle down and prove why he’s the future of Broncos football. In the end, I still think the Seahawks have more versatility in their offense to outgun Denver in a high-scoring affair.
