The 2-4 Saints will welcome the 3-3 Denver Broncos to town Thursday night. The Broncos are coming off a tough 23-16 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that snapped a 3-game winning streak. Wins over Tampa Bay, the Jets, and Vegas preceded this loss to the Charger. Despite trailing 20-0 at the break, the Broncos made a strong comeback in the 4th quarter and cut the lead to 1 score with just over one minute remaining. However, after an unsuccessful onside kick, the Chargers will able to go into victory formation. Denver committed 2 turnovers in the loss while they were unable to force a single turnover from the Chargers. The Saints were hoping to snap their 3-game losing streak last week when they faced the Bucs at home. Losses to Philly, Atlanta, and the Chiefs had the Saints searching for answers. Unfortunately, they were without their starting QB in Derek Carr and then lost their top receiver in Chris Olave early due to a concussion and never found their footing in what ended up in a 51-27 loss. The defense was unable to slow down Baker Mayfield and company. Despite picking him off 3 times, they also allowed him to throw 4 touchdown passes.
