FC Cincinnati travel to face DC United looking to further stake their claim for at least an MLS Playoff Wild Card spot. The Orange and Blue are in 8th place in the Eastern Conference standings but there's still work to be done if they're to book their place in the Playoffs. They face a DC side who have only won seven games all season and are in poor form. Only CF Montreal in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference side Sporting Kansas City have failed to win fewer matches than DC.
Despite this, DC United themselves still have a chance of making the Playoffs. A win in this match could see DC join New York Red Bulls on 36 points, who currently take up the final Wild Card place. We'd be more hopeful for DC if they were in decent form. They're not. Of their last four competitive matches, they've lost three of them, although they did pick up a win against the aforementioned Red Bulls the last time DC played on home turf. Cincinatti themselves have put out some inconsistent performances of late, losing three, winning two and drawing one of their last six.
For our prediction, we think this is a difficult match to call a result for. Instead, we're looking at the BTTS and Over combo. We think both teams will score in this one, with over 2.5 goals in the game.
