The Dallas Wings (1-10) visit the Las Vegas Aces (4-4) on June 13, Friday, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
Expectations have been high for the Aces prior to the season, but things haven't been great in their camp recently. They've dropped their last two games, including a blowout 95-68 defeat to the Golden State Valkyries and a 97-89 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.
What's even more concerning is that the reigning MVP A'ja Wilson is currently listed on the Aces' injury report. She exited early in the game against the Sparks, as she was apparently elbowed to the face by an opposing player.
Meanwhile, Paige Bueckers has returned to the Wings' active lineup in their recent game against the Phoenix Mercury. They did lose that match, 93-80, but Bueckers immediately showed what she could do. The rookie guard topscored with 35 points on an efficient 13-19 shooting, including a 5-7 clip from the three-point line.
Offense has been decent for the Wings, but their defense poses tons of problems. They're currently 11th in the league in defensive rating (112.0). They allow opponents to shoot 38.9% from beyond the arc, which is not a good indicator for a team's defense.
