The Dallas Wings (9-26) visit the Los Angeles Sparks (16-18) on Wednesday, August 20, at the Crypto.com Arena.
This is the third time that the Sparks and the Wings will face each other this season. The Sparks won the first two games by an average winning margin of 7.5 points.
However, the Sparks are coming off a 95-86 loss to the Washington Mystics. Dearica Hambry and Kelsey Plum produced 26 and 25 points, respectively. However, their team defense failed, as they let the Mystics shoot an excellent 59.3% clip from the field.
Bad defense and good offense are the perfect descriptions for the Sparks' season so far. They are fourth in the league in offensive rating, but are second-worst in defensive rating.
Meanwhile, the Wings haven't been doing so good either. They are coming off back-to-back losses to the Sparks and the Las Vegas Aces. Maddy Seigrist topscored for the Wings with 23 points in the 106-87 loss to the Aces.
It also doesn't help that the names are piling up in the Wings' injury report. They'll miss the services of Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yueru, and Tyasha Harris in Wednesday's game against the Sparks.
On the other hand, the Sparks don't have any injuries to report.
