The Vancouver Canucks (18-34-7, 6-17-5 Home) will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard Monday night when they host the Dallas Stars (36-14-9, 18-7-6 Away). Fans can follow the action on ESPN+ once the puck drops at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, ON, at 10 p.m. EST.
It has been a rough year for the Canucks, as is evident in their record. Heading into the break, they lost six of their last seven games. The one win was a 2-0 shutout of Anaheim at home. Since the break, things have not gone any better as they’ve lost in overtime to Winnipeg (3-2) and to the Kraken in Seattle, 5-1. As for Dallas, the Stars are one of the better teams in the league this season. They entered the break on an eight-game winning streak that included an overtime victory and a shootout. Since the break, they’ve gone 2-0 with a 4-1 win over Seattle and a 3-2 OT victory against Nashville.
This will be the third of three games scheduled between the two teams this season. Vancouver won the first (Oct. 16) by a score of 5-3. Dallas won the second (Nov. 20) by a score of 4-2. Each won their game on the road.
