In a Central Division tilt, the Utah Mammoth will host the Dallas Stars on Thursday at the Delta Center.
The two sides will meet for the second time this season, with Utah seeking revenge for a 4-3 road defeat in November. Andre Tourigny’s men jumped to a 2-0 lead in the contest, but ultimately watched the Stars roll past them. Wyatt Johnson scored the game-winning goal on the power play late in the second period.
The win over Utah was part of Dallas’ early-season success. The team played great hockey through the first few weeks, losing only nine games before December. Since December, the story has changed, and wins have been rare for the Stars in recent weeks.
Glen Gulutzan’s team finds itself on a 2-4-4 run ahead of Thursday’s meeting with the Mammoth. There have been some major struggles defensively, though Dallas also couldn’t get its offense flowing in the last game against the Anaheim Ducks, losing 3-1.
At the same time, Utah is enjoying one of the best stretches of the season. The team has produced a 6-1-1 record in 2026 and beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in impressive fashion on Tuesday night. Tourigny’s side rocked the Maple Leafs with a 6-1 victory, scoring the first four goals of the game.
