The Celtics proved why they are the odds-on favorite to win their 18th NBA Championship following their emphatic 107-89 win over the Mavericks in the series opener. Kristaps Porzingis erupted for 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting off the bench to set the tone for the Celtics the entire game. All of Boston's five starter also scored in double figures with Jaylen Brown scoring a team-high 22 points and Jayson Tatum adding 16.
