The Dallas Cowboys will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard this week when they travel to Landover, MD, to play one of their hated division rivals, the Washington Commanders, at Northwest Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
It’s been a tale of two teams as the Commanders have been winning games this season under the guidance of former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, now the Washington head coach. His rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, has played his way into becoming a heavy betting favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Dallas, on the other hand, lost its underperforming superstar quarterback to an injury a couple of weeks ago. They have since started Cooper Rush twice; he threw for 45 yards in his first start (vs. Eagles) and 354 in his second (vs. Texans).
Daniels was on fire out of the gate and posted some impressive numbers in his first four games. While he has played well enough to keep the team winning more than losing, he has not been the impactful player he was earlier in the season.
But against the Dallas defense, that may not matter.
