On Sunday evening, the Major League Soccer train rolls on to Lower.com Field, where the Columbus Crew will take on the Philadelphia Union in a game between two in-form teams. Both teams enjoyed themselves during the week, with Sunday's hosts winning at home to Atlanta, while the visitors got the job done in Chicago.
Last weekend, we saw the Crew beat the Whitecaps at home, and that was a hugely important win for Sunday's hosts, who had previously gone six games without tasting victory. Now that they've won two on the bounce, Wilfried Nancy's men find themselves sitting in a lofty fourth position in the Eastern Conference. Topping the Eastern Conference tree is the Union, who will arrive in Ohio off the back of avoiding defeat in each of their last 11 league games, winning three of their last four. Such form bodes well, as does the fact that they are unbeaten in five on the road.
