The San Franciso Giants and the Colorado Rockies meet again to begin a new three-game series at Oracle Park and cap a busy Friday night around the MLB. The Giants just came off a morale-boosting 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers to end their Battle of the Bay series on a high note. While 8.5 games are still separating the Giants (20-25) and the NL West’s No.1 team Dodgers (29-17), the win will definitely inject some confidence as they prepare for another tough weekend series with the Rockies. Colorado have been playing their best baseball of the season ever since their 9-1 win in Game 3 of their preview series with the Giants. The Rockies have now won their last seven assignments, hitting .270/.313/.419 while giving 2.20 runs per game. Colorado are still dead last in the NL West standings with a 15-28 record but they will move up in the ladder sooner than later especially if they continue to rack up wins. Rockies RHP Ryan Feltner (1-3, 5.20 ERA with 40 strikeouts) is set for a duel with Giants LHP Kyle Harrison (3-1, 3.42 ERA with 45 strikeouts).
