It's always painful when you're just one out away from winning, and that's exactly what happened to the Blue Jays in Game 2 against the Guardians. In the betting, this was, for those who bet on the Guardians' ML, who were also an underdog, an explosion of euphoria when Schneemann hit a Grand Slam against the Blue Jays' closer to turn around what would be the Guardians' definitive lead, 5-3.

It was then a game decided by the closers. Clase earned his sixth save of the year by recording the final three outs in the bottom of the ninth, allowing no hits and striking out no one. Meanwhile, Yimi García took the LB, allowing four earned runs before recording three outs.

It was a somewhat undeserved victory for the Guardians, who only managed four hits and struck out a surprising 16 times, although it was undoubtedly a strikeout game with the Blue Jays also striking out 12 times.
