After winning two of three against the Red Sox, the Toronto Blue Jays will look to keep the good times rolling at home when they start a three-game weekend series with the Cleveland Indians. Game One is scheduled to get underway later today at 7:07 p.m. EST.
Cleveland heads back out onto the road after winning three of four against the Minnesota Twins at home to close out a ten-game homestand (they went 6-4). They won the last game 4-3 in extra innings when Angel Martinez hit an RBI single in the bottom of the tenth to put the Guardians up 4-3. Toronto took two of three in their previous home series. In their last game, they pulled ahead in the eighth when Vlad Guerrero Jr. hit a three-run shot off Red Sox reliever Justin Slaten. Cleveland will go with Logan Allen to start the day on the mound. He is 1-2 on the year in five starts with a 4.21 ERA. He got hit hard in his last outing, a 13-3 loss to the Red Sox (April 27), lasting just 4 1/3 innings and giving up seven earned runs. Toronto will turn to Chris Bassitt. Bassitt is 2-2 in six starts with a 2.62 ERA and 1.17 WHIP.
