The Cleveland Guardians will be in the Big Apple today for Game One of a three-game series with the New York Mets. Gametime for this interleague contest is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EST at Citi Field in Queens, NY. Both teams will be looking to get back on the right side of the scoreboard after losing the final game of their respective weekend series yesterday. Cleveland had won the first two games of their series with the Minnesota Twins, but lost a close one on Sunday, 5-4. As for the Mets, they clobbered the Giants on Saturday, 12-6, but fell to San Francisco on Sunday, 12-4.
Slade Cecconi is set to start on the mound for the Guardians. Cecconi is 5-4 this season in 13 starts with a 3.77 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a .247 OBA.
