The Houston Astros (36-41, 19-20 Home) will try to get back to .500 at home today when they host the Cleveland Guardians (40-36, 21-19 Away) in the second game of a three-game series at Daikin Park in the Space City. Fans can follow the action on MLB.TV once the game gets underway at 7:15 p.m. EST.
After starting their current homestand with a loss to the Tigers on Monday, the Astros have rattled off three consecutive wins, including the series opener against the Guardians last night, 9-3, to improve to 19-20 at home. The loss was the third in four games for the Guardians.
Spencer Arrighetti is scheduled to start for Houston today. Arrighetti is 7-2 in 11 starts with a 2.57 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. However, after going 4-1 in five starts in May, he is 0-1 in three in June. After giving up three runs in all of May, he’s allowed 11 through three June starts.
As for the Guardians, Cleveland is scheduled to start Joey Cantillo, who is 5-3 in 15 starts with a 4.38 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP. He has not had his best stuff on the road, where he is 2-2 in eight starts with a 4.93 ERA and a .279 OBA.

I’d like to say this should be one you can feel good taking, Houston and the run line, but I don’t feel like we can trust the Astros lineup to perform when we expect them to. If they were facing an average-to-poor starter, maybe. But Cantillo is a pretty decent pitcher. If he gets in the zone, the Astros lineup could be in trouble. However, since the Guardians are struggling to make contact (.165 over the last week) and they're facing a solid starter in Arrighetti, Houston will not need much from its lineup to win.
