The Dutch rising star faced a real battle against Noskova in the quarterfinal. Tauson traded powerful aces with her Czech opponent, though she managed to deliver the big points in the clutch moments to beat Noskova 7-6(4) 6-4. Muchova doused a late rally from Sorana Cirstea to pull off a 6-2 7-5 win and advance to the semifinal for the third time this year. The Czech wrapped up the first set in under 30 minutes before staving off a spirited fightback from Cirstea in the second set.
