Texas Rangers vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Cincinnati Reds (5-3) are looking to complete the rare road sweep of the Texas Rangers (4-4) this Sunday afternoon. While the bats have not been going for the Reds much, they have been able to rely on their pitching to help lead them to victory.

Brady Singer allowed two runs over 5 innings while not factoring into the decision in the Reds' first win of this series. Next, Rhett Lowder went 6 scoreless innings before the bullpen came in and helped complete the shutout in game two. Now, Chase Burns will be on the mound for the Reds. Burns is coming off a magnificent first start of the season. He struck out 7 and held the Pirates to just 1 hit while picking up the win.

Burns will be opposed by the Rangers’ Jack Leiter. He struck out 8 in his opening start of the season and got the win against the Orioles. He held Baltimore to two runs on just 5 hits. With the Rangers only scoring 3 runs over the first two games in this series, they will need a strong outing from Leiter to keep them in this one.

Both teams have struggled early in the season here in scoring runs consistently. While they could be ready to break out, it will certainly not be an easy task against these two strong-armed righties on the mound.
