The first half of the season is going quite well for the Yankees; after a season-long battle with the Rays for the division lead, the Yankees have finally managed to pull three games ahead of Tampa Bay. Aaron Bone's men also won the first game of their series against the Reds.

At Yankee Stadium, the Yankees were able to hold the White Sox at bay, but couldn't sweep them, losing the final game of the series in a close contest. Immediately afterward, the Yankees bounced back with a win against Cincinnati, showcasing their strong pitching by shutting them out and limiting them to just four hits.

Even with Aaron Judge sidelined with a fractured rib, betting sites still have him as the long-term favorite to win the MVP this year, but another Yankee, Ben Rice, is among the top five favorites. As for the Cy Young Award, it's another Yankee, Cam Schlitter, who leads the AL betting odds. He struck out 13 and further increased his chances of winning the game in Game 1. But the Reds won't get a break on Saturday, as Will Warren, with his 7-1 record for New York, will be on the mound.
