The Cincinnati Reds (68-74 SU, 78-64 ATS) face the New York Mets (77-64 SU, 73-68 ATS) in the second game of their three-game set. The Reds had the cover last night until giving up a two-run home run in the 10th inning, losing the game and the bet. Cincinnati has mostly been feisty, as its ATS mark shows, but the Reds also are running out of reasons to compete this season.
The Mets made things very interesting, but they came up big when it mattered most. New York remains in a tight playoff race with Atlanta, and they’re responding well to the pressure so far. They’ve won or split their past six series, and they’re in prime position to do that again after winning the opener.
