The Cincinnati Reds will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight in Game Two of a four-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field in Milwaukee, WI. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EST.
Getting a win is the ultimate goal, but the Reds might be happy just to score a run. With yesterday's 1-0 loss, the Reds became the second team since 1920 to lose three consecutive games by a 1-0 score; they have gone 28 innings without a run crossing the plate. They’ll give the ball to Nick Martinez on the mound tonight. Martinez got the loss in his last start, pitching six innings vs. San Francisco, giving up four hits, four runs, and two home runs.
As for the Brewers, they opened the season getting torpedoed by the Yankees, losing all three in New York by a cumulative score of 36-14. Kansas City continued the bombardment with an 11-1 win in Milwaukee’s home opener. But with the win yesterday, the Brewers have won three in a row.
Milwaukee looks like they’ll be using the bullpen for this game with reliever Tyler Alexander starting. He appeared in two games vs. the Yankees, throwing 3 1/3 innings and giving up just two hits, walks, and runs.

But with all the early injuries to their starters, the Brewers are forced to turn to the pen, and it doesn’t look good for them. Cincinnati has been pitching well, just not hitting. But I think that will change in this game as the Reds' offense comes alive against the Milwaukee pen.
