After losing 7-2 in Game 1, the Dodgers responded to challenge and scored a big 7-3 win in Game 2 behind terrific hitting from their batting corps led by Shohei Ohtani and masterclass pitching from their bullpen. Ohtani’s two-run home run in the 3rd inning changed the complexion of the game as the Dodgers went on to punish the Reds pitchers even more through the remainder of the game. With the win, the Dodgers solidified their hold of the No.1 spot in the NL West standings with a 30-17 record. The Reds, who got a pair of homers from Stuart Fairchild and Jonathan India, dropped to 10-13 on the road and 19-26 overall. Reds RHP Graham Ashcraft (3-2, 4.12 ERA with 35 strikeouts) will duel against Dodgers RHP Walker Buehler (0-1, 7.36 ERA with 6 strikeouts).
