Not only that, but they are also on a 3-game losing streak after losing game 1 of this series with the Cincinnati Reds (48-53). The Reds jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd and extended it to 4-0 as the game went into the final half inning. Eddie Rosario was able to knock in Ozuna on a sac fly, but that was it and the Reds walked away with the 4-1 win. The win snapped a 4-game losing streak for the Reds but extended their streak of 5 runs or less to 5 games. The Reds have yet to announce a starter for tonight’s game while the Braves are likely to have ace and possible comeback player of the year, Chris Sale (13-3, 2.70) on the mound. Sale, who has battled injuries over the last few years of his career, finally looks like his normal self this season. Over his last 7 starts, he has yet to allow more than 2 runs in a game and is averaging 8.2 strikeouts per game.
