Arizona is coming off a 7-6 win in extra innings against the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday but had lost its previous three games. Cincinnati is probably glad to get back on the road after going 3-5 at home during a recent homestand.
Eduardo Rodriguez is slated to start the game on the mound for the Diamondbacks. Rodriguez is having a solid year. He’s gone 12-4 in 25 starts with a 2.71 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and teams are hitting .238 against him. When at home, he has posted a 6-3 record in 13 starts with a 2.85 ERA and .228 OBA.

Arizona hasn’t been doing to much better (.237 with 25 runs scored over their last five games. I do not see the Reds coming alive against a solid pitcher in Rodriguez. Lodolo is not bad, but I do not see him containing the Arizona lineup enough to keep the game close.
