The Cincinnati Bengals (2-4 SU, 3-3 ATS) visit the Cleveland Browns (1-5 SU, 2-4 ATS) in a battle of perhaps the two most disappointing teams in the NFL. The Bengals at least seem to be finally righting the ship somewhat, and they actually have played better away from home than in Cincinnati.
But can they figure out playing in Cleveland? The Browns have had the Bengals’ number over the years, and that’s especially been true when playing in Northeast Ohio. The Bengals haven’t won in Cleveland since 2017, when the Browns became the second team to go 0-16 in NFL history. Since then, there’s been six straight Cleveland wins, and the past two haven’t been close. Overall, the Browns are 9-3 against the Bengals since the winless season.

The Browns’ biggest issue is the offense. Cleveland remains outstanding on one side of the ball, but the Browns just can’t get the offense going. It’s well past time for Cleveland to give Jameis Winston a try, but the Browns remain stubbornly stuck with Deshaun Watson for better or for worse.
Cleveland hasn’t scored more than 18 points in a game in 2024, going back to the final two games of last season. Offense simply has not been a problem for Cincinnati; it’s been the defense and special teams that’s letting down Joe Burrow and friends. If the Bengals are scoring, the Browns likely aren’t going to be able to keep up. Our prediction for Cincinnati vs. Cleveland is Bengals -5.5.
