The 2nd of a 3-game set between the Chicago White Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays is set to take place this afternoon. The White Sox are looking to extend their current 3-game win streak, while the Rays are looking to bounce back from that game one loss.

Erick Fedde gave the White Sox a solid start in game one. He went 5 innings and held the Rays to just 1 run on 4 hits. Munetaka Murakami and Andrew Benintendi combined to go 4-7 with 2 homers and 3 RBIs. Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery also homered to give the heart of the White Sox lineup a long ball each. Junior Caminero’s solo blast provided the only run for the Rays in the 6-1 loss.

The White Sox are opting to go with a bullpen start in today’s contest. Jordan Hicks will start but will likely just pitch the 1st inning. For the Rays, they will turn to Drew Rasmussen, who has looked solid in his last couple of starts. He is 9-5 with a 3.07 ERA on the year, but has been stingy in his last 2 starts. He has held opponents to just 2 runs over his last 12 innings of work against the Guardians and Blue Jays.
