The series between the San Francisco Giants (21-31) and the Chicago White Sox (26-25) will be decided this afternoon. The Giants scored the victory in game one, but the White Sox came back to tie the series yesterday.
Game one was loaded with runs in the middle of the game. After the White Sox threw up 9 runs in the 4th, the Giants posted 3 of their own in the 5th and added another in the 6th. The 13 runs scored easily topped the total for the over.
In game two, the story was similar. The Giants put up 9 runs in innings 4 and 5, while the White Sox added 3 of their own in the 6th. The Giants tacked one more on late for a 10-3 final. Needless to say, the over was through after the 6th inning.
Outside of the relievers that did most of the early work for the White Sox's last game, it has been the starters who have been roughed up in these two previous games. Today’s pitching matchup does not bode well for either team to keep the opposition from putting up early runs.
Noah Schultz of the White Sox has a 4.93 ERA, and Robbie Ray of the Giants has a 4.28 ERA. Neither starter has looked strong to this point in the season, and each is likely to give up their fair share of runs.

Noah Schutlz has given up 13 runs over his last 3 starts and Robbie Ray has not looked good either. In fact, Ray is coming off his worst start of the season. He allowed 9 runs on 11 hits in just 4.1 innings of work. We like the runs to continue to come here and hit the over early once again.
