The Twins will look to start June in the best possible way, sweeping the series, if they can take the third game of their series against the White Sox at Target Field. In the first game, Tristan Gray played the hero, hitting his second grand slam of the season, a 384-foot blast that propelled Minnesota to a 9-4 victory. The second game of the series ended 6-4, and once again shortstop Gray had a positive day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

It's not an ideal start to the month for these White Sox, who currently, against all odds, hold a Wild Card spot. Before the series in Minneapolis, they tripped up the division-leading Tigers at Rate Field, and also in Chicago, between May 25 and 28, they took three of a four-game series against these same Twins.

The White Sox's performance on the road has been a stark contrast to their strong home form at Target Field. On the road, the Sox are 12-17. After concluding their series against the Twins, they travel to Philadelphia to face a red-hot Twins team, all without their home run leader, Murakami. The Japanese slugger suffered an untimely Grade 2 hamstring strain that sidelined him for several weeks.
