The Minnesota Twins (61-48) are looking to sweep the White Sox (27-86) at home to start their August off on a high note. Through the 1st two games of this series, the Twins have outscored the White Sox 16-4 and held them to just 2 runs in each contest. Willi Castro of the Twins has gone 3-9 with a home run and 4 RBIs through the series to this point. Both Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober struck out 7 batter and allowed just 2 runs in their starts. Tonight, the Twins will go with Simeon Woods Richardson (3-2, 3.74) to close out this series. He hopes to bounce back after a rough outing in his last start. Simeon was shelled for 6 runs on 7 hits against the Mets and lasted just 3.1 innings. This was a start removed from his 6 innings of shutout work over the Phillies. For the White Sox, Chris Flexen (2-10, 5.13) will get the go and try to help Chicago avoid the sweep. Flexen had a nice outing against the Royals in his last start. He held them to just 2 runs on 9 scattered hits. A win tonight will help the Twins cut into the Guardians lead of the NL Central.
