The Houston Astros (65-56) had their 8-game winning streak snapped Friday by these Chicago White Sox (30-93). Luis Robert Jr. hit 2 homeruns and accounted for 4 RBIs in the win for the White Sox. Garrett Crochet started and went 4 innings while holding the Astros to just 1 run on 4 hits in the no-decision. Houston’s starter, Spencer Arrighetti, was knocked around for 4 runs on 7 hits in 5.2 innings. The win was just the third for the White Sox in the month as they moved to just 3-9 in August. Although they lost, Houston is still holding onto a 3-game lead over the Twins in the AL Central. Hunter Brown (10-7, 3.96) will be the starter for the Astros and is coming off a 9-strikeout outing against the Red Sox in his last start. He got the win after holding them to 2 runs on 5 hits. For the White Sox, Chris Flexen (2-11, 5.34) will try to give Chicago a 2nd straight win. He walked 4 in his last start while lasting 4 innings but allowed no runs against the Cubs for his last start. That was after he got shelled by the Twins in just 1.1 inning. He allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in the loss.
