The Minnesota Lynx will get the second half of the WNBA season started by hosting the Chicago Sky at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, tonight. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Minnesota has the best record in the WNBA this season at 20-4. They won eight of their last ten before the break, including a pair over the Sky, 91-78 (July 14) and 80-75 (July 6). Napheesa Collier led the way in the July 14 game with 29 points. Courtney Williams led the way in the July 6 game with 25 points while Collier had 21 points. However, sandwiched in between the Minnesota wins is a Chicago victory on July 12, 87-81. Collier led the way for the Lynx with 26 points, but the Sky had four players score in double digits, led by Ariel Atkins with 27; Angel Reese recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Chicago went into the break having lost four of its last six games, including two to Minnesota. Angel Reese was injured before the break but played in the All-Star game and is expected to be fine for tonight's game. However, Ariel Atkins has been ruled out.

Our Chicago Sky vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction
Chicago doesn’t really have a prolific scoring threat on the roster, so not having Ariel Atkins available (No. 2 on the team in scoring with 13.9 ppg) is a major blow for the Sky. Reese is a capable scorer, but not the kind that can pick up the slack when someone else is out. Without Atkins and facing the No. 1 home defense in the league, the Sky are in for a long night.
