The Chicago Sky (2-6) visit the Atlanta Dream (6-3) on June 13, Friday, at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.
After a concerning 1-2 start to the season, the Dream have now won five of their last six games. They blew out the Indiana Fever, 77-58, in their recent game. Allisha Gray and Brionna Jones both breached the 20-point mark, and their defense suffocated the Fever's offense.
The Dream is looking like a perennial contender on both ends of the floor. They have the third-best offensive rating in the league (107.0), and they rank fifth in defensive rating (100.2). This is a newly-constructed roster with the additions of Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones, but the Dream have been playing well together.
Meanwhile, the Sky are coming off two straight losses, with the latest a 85-66 defeat to the New York Liberty. It has been a struggle for the Sky this season, as they currently have the second-worst offensive and defensive rating in the league.
It also doesn't help that their primary playmaker, Courtney Vandersloot, sustained a Torn ACL injury that will keep her out for the remainder of the year. Moriah Jefferson will also miss the game against the Dream.
