The second weekend of the 2026 Major League Soccer season begins with an afternoon fixture at Soldier Field, where the Chicago Fire will be hoping to bounce back following what was an awful showing during the opening weekend. Last time, the Fire weren't exactly burning, rather they were burned by the Houston Dynamo, losing by five goals to one away from home. Now back at Soldier Field, they'll be hoping to do much better, though the early signs would indicate that they'll once again struggle defensively this season. 

The visitors are also came up short last weekend, and not by a little. They too received a battering, losing 5-0 away to San Diego, who simply ran riot against Marco Donadel's men. Of course, it's early days for the Italian, who will be hoping that his team can do a much better job. Thankfully, a game against the Fire does present the visitors with a better chance of success than a game against San Diego.

I'll be bold here and say that, although we're super early in the season, Prince-Osei Owusu is unlikely to get a better opportunity to score road goals this season. The Fire were shocking at the back last season and they didn't exactly show any defensive improvements last weekend, conceding five goals. This is a clear opportunity for the man who was Montreal's primary offensive threat last term.

During the previous campaign, Prince-Osei Owusu notched 13 goals, showing more than enough quality to tell me that he should be less leniently priced to score here. Averaging 0.42 goals per 90 in 2025, the forward was no stranger to scoring on the road, notching nine of his 13 goals away from home.
