With the win yesterday, the Cards have tied the season series up at 4-4. Colin Rea has done a solid, but unremarkable job. He’s given up two runs or less in five of his last seven starts, but has also given up 4+ in two of his last three. It’s hard to say how much support he’ll get with the lineup hitting just .223 over the last week. He’ll have his hands full against a St. Louis lineup hitting .284 over the last week. However, the Cubs have played well against Pallante in the past. This could be the breakout game they need to get out of their hitting rut.
I don’t have much confidence in either team, but the Cubs are the better of the two.
