The Padres pulled a small lead over the Dodgers this weekend after continuing their dominant start at Petco Park, and the Cubs defeated the Dodgers in the weekend series in Los Angeles. Now it's the Padres' turn to face the Cubs in San Diego.

The Cubs won Game 3 of the series against the Dodgers 4-2 in front of more than 50,000 people. After Yamamoto dominated the Cubs in Game 1, the Cubs came back to win via blowout, 16-0, over the Dodgers in Game 2. Game 3 was the closest of all, one that the Cubs would win 4-2 thanks, among other things, to Crow-Armstrong's 412-foot home run.

Meanwhile, the Padres have never had a more electrifying start to the season than this one, one in which the Rockies were held scoreless for an astonishing 27 innings. They won the first 8-0, the second 2-0, and the third 6-0 with a spectacular performance by King, who pitched the entire game and added his W #3.
