The Chicago Cubs will go for nothing less than a sweep in Wednesday’s series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.

The offense has remained decent, averaging almost five runs a game (4.6 runs per game) on a .298 batting average.

The Pirates (65-87) have lost four of their last five games and 10 of their last 11 games. Pittsburgh has maintained a competitive 3.82 ERA over a 10-game stretch, a testament to its much-touted pitching prowess. Unfortunately, their lackluster offense continues to be a major problem for the Pirates, who would have achieved contender status had they produced more runs per game this season. The Pirates have only averaged 2.1 runs per game while batting .168 over the last 10 games.
