Two teams slated for the playoffs, the Cubs and Brewers, after splitting their four-game series at Wrigley Field just days ago, will play their final regular-season games in Milwaukee. In this modern NL Central rivalry, the same spectacle is expected at American Family Field as they delivered in Chicago.

Last week's series in Chicago was a batting battle, in which the Cubs started strong with three home runs from Bregman to take a 17-3 lead in the first game. But then Milwaukee showed why no one wants to face the Brewers' lineup, scoring nine runs in games two and three of the series and winning both. The final game of the series, featuring Gausmann and Henderson, had a more pitching-focused feel, and the Cubs won it 2-1.

The big story of the month and the Cubs' season is Pete Crow-Armstrong. CF, arousing enthusiasm in a city that chants his name, in recent weeks with spectacular performances, seems to have taken the MVP from Ohtani, as it is CF who is the almost certain favorite to win the award with odds of -1600 at this point.
